This two-part tutorial series introduces Eclipse and its Rich Client Platform (RCP) and shows you how to assemble an RCP application to create an elegant client-side interface for your own business applications.

Part 1 walks you through the steps to implement an RCP application, including creating a project within the Eclipse 3.0 IDE, defining a plug-in manifest, and creating a basic perspective.
