| I cannot comment on the plugin because I am unable to download it. Why can you not provide it as a downloadable jar. Security restrictions at my organization prevent Eclipse from connecting to the updates' site and downloading the plugin. So for me, I have to rate it at a lowly 2.

A must have for working with Tapestry. I wish Howard, the Tapestry founder, would do more to support this, and ohter, tool for easing development with Tapestry. I think supporting tools are crucial to drive the framwork popularity higher. V.

I think that it wold be much easier to use this software if it had some sort of read me file, or some kind of documentation. What good is it if you have to spend all your time just figuring out how to get it to do anything at all. I understand that the project only has one developer, but GEEZ you think he could have takend 5 minutes or so to state what one would expect to see once they managed to figure out how to install the jar file, which by the way doesn't open up with EasyZip.
Cant say as it actually does anything at all.

Installing Spindle is a major task. No documentation available, the link that is supposed to work with Eclipse does not work.
If you want to popularize your plugin you need to cator to all levels of technical esxpertise with Eclipse.
This is my last try, and if my improvisation does not work, I will give up on it.
No readme file in the ZIP file just the useless "download" page.

Spindle is too buggy. Ok it saves a bit by creating templates and .pages. But it's a real HELL trying it to get to work with an eclipse version. Version 3.1.27 does NOT work with eclipse 3.1. I believe it's too alpha to be used

Hi,
Spindle is a very good plugin......and it really reduced lot of work and saved lot of time with this simple small but a very big plugin for me......
One thing i wanted to get cleared is...i am not able to see \"icon\" attribute in DatePicker..... but when i go through Component specifications i can see icon attribute....... and i am not able to give date... is it a bug in tapestry or in spindle.....???? pls let me get cleared...

Can\'t say I\'m unbiased, but Spindle is just a terrific resource and plugin. I believe it to be the most sophisticated, most ambitious plugin to ever be created by an individual. It is clearly the result of someone eating their own dogfood while developing Tapestry applications.

This is the best way to develop for Tapestry. The project is updated very frequently and any new Tapestry features are quickly included in a new spindle release. I wouldn\'t develop in Tapestry any other way.

Easy to install and worked without any configuration. I encountered some bugs in the stable build and had to switch to the latest integration (unstable) build. Once I did that, all the bugs went away and I have been happy ever since.

Spindle is a great help while working with Tapestry. The main advantage is its showing of errors, which greatly speeds up the development cycle. Creating Tapestry pages without Spindle now sounds like having to bake bread before eating a sandwitch. I\'d give it a 10 but am concerned it will then be considered \"done\" ;). Thanks to the maker(s)!!

I use Spindle for Eclipse since I started working with Tapestry. It\'s existence is certainly a reason for not using IntelliJ IDEA, although it might (still) be even better then Eclipse 3.0. But Spindle is just too useful with all its wizards and consitency checks when coding Tapestry web applications.

Documentation could be improved for Eclipse and I mean a quick \'5 minutes how to benefit from Spindle\'. Otherwise the features Spindle brings are wonderful to use, appreciate. And the integration in Eclipse is gorgeous. One of my associates even thought Eclipse was made like that (I give a 9 to Eclipse by the way).
So it\'s a real tool that brings instant benefits but you feel like ot\'s hot much more under the hood and a better doc would really be helpful.
