JasperAssistant is a visual report designer for JasperReports, a popular open-source reporting engine. It is built on top of the Eclipse's plug-in architecture and its main goal is to help you create JasperReports report definition files through an intuitive graphical interface.

The latest 1.1.0 version adds the following features:

• Preview support featuring a tight integration with Eclipse Java Projects enabling a parallel Java/Jasper Report development.
• A Preview Viewer integrated as a tab page inside the report editor allowing a quick switch between the design and preview modes.
• Data source management interface for configuring JDBC connections and other data sources.
• A new Site License to help reduce costs on volume purchases.
• Other minor bugfixes and enhancements.
