Half baked product. Wasted my time installing it and trying to figure out why can't I create a sequence diagram. Potentially can be a great tool if it is more polished like what a professional tool should be.

User: AnonymousRating: 42009-10-05 07:13:28
Wasted half a day with the free version and half an hour with the evaluation studio version. Nice reverse engineered class diagrams, but no way to show (export/print) them to someone granting money.

User: AnonymousRating: 32009-08-22 16:55:09
The live code and model synchronization doesn't work well !! It changes my code and doesn't always update the diagram. It seems that this plugin has done the first 20% of the job but that the other 80% to make it usable has never been done. It is a waste of time for me to use this tool today.

User: AnonymousRating: 12009-06-25 09:17:08
There is a lot of bugs that doesn't seems that will be addressed soon, because there is no activity in the product forum, only people complaining and being ignored. It uses some kind of annotations in the comments to keep models in synch. Exporting images just don't do anything. Don't waste your time if you need something useful.... which is sad, because it would be a perfect FREE UML tool with some interesting licensing/support options (like paid bug support for free version), functionality and also affordable.

The sequence diagram editor in Ganymed is a pain. It does not correctly refresh its display, sometimes does not even accept input. The class editor seems to work though. However, some changes, when done in the source (not the diagram) will confuse the plugin so much that CPU usage goes up to 100% for a long time (I eventually closed eclipse and killed the remaining task). In my case this happened when changing an interface to a class.

User: AnonymousRating: 92009-03-29 21:32:05
Excellent plugin, easy to use, great code generation, great presentation. The update site presented didn't work for Ganymede, but I quickly realized I needed to use add /ganymede, and that worked great!

User: AnonymousRating: 12009-02-22 14:29:36
Doesn't work for me. Tried online and offline installation with Eclipse V3.4.1. Neither worked :-(

Cannot install with Europa 3.3.2. The distribution is missing org.eclipse.pde.* Unfortunately, this is no longer available via its eclipse plugin link. I have used this product before and it is a good UML tool which allows reverse engineering: a feature that is critical for me.

User: AnonymousRating: 92008-11-12 23:33:49
not bad for the free version. but missing labels after reopen existing diagram is a stopper.

User: AnonymousRating: 12008-10-28 10:35:11
UML tags in the code have changed my code organization. I don't like it !!

User: AnonymousRating: 32008-07-22 11:08:19
No doubt that this is a good plugin for reverse engineering except that The reverse engineering show attributes which don't exist and associations are not always detected. My notation is 4 of: - The UML tags in my code is really bad because I want to see my project diagrams and don't want that eUML changes my project format !! - The permanent code and model synchronization is not working well(the uml editor is corrupting my java code) - The reverse engineering show attributes which don't exist - The XMI export is not showing nested packages and is messing with detected dependencies - The diagram get corrupted very easily (hopefully I can use the history to recover it) - Class diagram is ok - Sequence diagram is very bad - No usecase, activity, component, state etc...diagrams why ? This plugin is not usable in a professional project !!

User: AnonymousRating: 12008-05-22 07:03:19
The live code and class diagram synchronization, permanent graphical refresh and UML model information saved inside the java code makes eUML impossible to use. I also found the following unacceptable behaviors: 1. If you erase an association between two classes all attributes and methods will be erased even if not coming from this association. I lost all my code !! 2. If you have an existing method and change it settings using the method property wizard then the java code get corrupted. eUML changed my code and have written my method in such a dirty way that I have to totally rewrite my code. The problem is that I didn't know what eUML was doing and lost my project code !! 3. If you delete dependencies and then reopen diagrams then you have more and more detected dependencies which doesn't exist !! 4. If I set my class diagram and want to keep my presentation then as soon as something is changed in the code, or added in the diagram then all my presentation is modified. 5. The layout is being activated even if I don't ask for it. 6. I had a nice project respecting java codding, and after I used eUML all my code was changed and full of annotation has been written inside my project. What a mess !! 7. The XMI export is wrong which is unacceptable for a UML tool: a.If you have nested packages and export the class diagram xmi, then all the packages are shown at the root of the project. b. If you have dependencies then the xmi export is totally wrong c. Methods and Attributes XMI export are wrong Look at EclipseUML 2008 to see what is a good tool and what means to respect users graphical presentation and java code :-)

User: AnonymousRating: 32008-05-14 07:09:04
The Class diagram is very unstable. I don't like mixing Java code and UML annotations. No model explorer. My first choice is therefore EclipseUML 2008 or RSA 7.

User: AnonymousRating: 42008-03-24 05:33:38
Too many bugs !!

User: AnonymousRating: 12008-03-18 02:22:19
free edition - full of bugs

User: AnonymousRating: 82008-01-15 20:17:23
很好,很强大!

User: AnonymousRating: 52007-12-31 07:49:55
No UML model, just an EMF export. I agree

User: AnonymousRating: 12007-12-24 09:08:29
Worst plugin that I have ever used. Crashes like 1/30 s. Doesnt updates diagrams. Loose informations about class diagrams, cannot read it from the code even if it is there. I was forced to use it on my academic project, wont use it any more.

User: AnonymousRating: 102007-12-02 10:40:54
Very good offering here.

User: AnonymousRating: 102007-11-21 06:35:05
A great choice. Much better than buggy Omondo!

User: AnonymousRating: 22007-10-15 06:58:25
Very mediocre - Full of bugs

User: AnonymousRating: 22007-10-08 18:17:35
doesn't have state diagram capability

User: AnonymousRating: 52007-09-02 08:31:46
Trop de petit bugs fatiguant. Je dois refaire mes diagrammes car le bouton undo n'est pas implémenté partout. Des layout sont lancés sans que je le demande. Manque évident de travail de finission.

User: AnonymousRating: 92007-08-23 07:44:42
Great plugin. First UML tool i had fun working with

User: mardyRating: 82007-07-06 08:29:26
I have been looking for a good, user friendly UML plugin for some time now. This one is the best I have found. It is not perfect, but the development team appears to be working very hard to continually improve it. Their support team have also proven to be very responsive in addressing issues. With all of that, this is the UML plugin that I am going to stick with.

User: AnonymousRating: 102007-04-26 11:51:01
I asked a free Academic license yerterday. I get it today. It is very generous. And particulierly it is really a good product. Thanks.

User: AnonymousRating: 32007-04-25 11:26:33
For a free plugin it is ok. Topcase and slime UML are better. EclipseUML is the best !!

User: AnonymousRating: 102007-03-15 13:13:17
Good product, adorable academic/open source policies

User: AnonymousRating: 12007-02-28 15:45:28
Not ready. Sucks memory like a vacuum. If you delete a class from the diagram it deletes it from the project.

User: AnonymousRating: 102007-02-14 05:17:29
That is exactly what I was looking for. Great soft!

User: AnonymousRating: 92007-01-22 11:11:05
complete and useful product, with ease of use and powerful functionality ! really nice to use... good forum with responsive support team ! congratulation

User: AnonymousRating: 12007-01-07 11:51:37
This company is voting for itself and add fake ratings !! That ' too too bad !!

User: AnonymousRating: 102007-01-07 04:30:08
I think this is very good product. It really hirts some competitors.

User: AnonymousRating: 12007-01-06 17:28:50
I just tried to use this plug in and now I am furious that I will never get the time I wasted on this POS back. This product is maybe an alpha and I am being generous. The lack of documentation should have tipped me off but I looked at all the reviews of the product and figured it was being used and enough people had good things to say. It is sham, these must be fake postings by the company. Guys get your act together before you release a product.

User: AnonymousRating: 102006-12-31 01:29:31
After a serious evaluation of the several major UML plugins, we think this is good one that meet our requirements for good quality, powerful features and good support. It could be wnoderful if the connection handlers and floating tool bar could be supported.

User: AnonymousRating: 12006-12-24 00:21:59
Installation instructions are flakey, they don't work for many environments. The developer brushes off requests for help, see the forum, people just give up.

User: AnonymousRating: 102006-12-17 10:41:39
outstanding

User: AnonymousRating: 102006-12-17 01:26:09
The best free UML modeler !

User: AnonymousRating: 12006-10-11 20:55:58
synchronization is buggy and sequence diagram support is weak

User: AnonymousRating: 102006-09-28 20:08:29
Great jobs

User: AnonymousRating: 92006-09-28 06:33:47

Powerful tools, keep going on !

User: AnonymousRating: 12006-09-13 05:57:09
It is anoying me to see that you are doing the same dirty business with EclipseUML on the following website: http://www.eclipse-plugins.info/eclipse/plugin_comments.jsp?id=151 You are a silly little boy, hidding your IP and voting for yourself. I tried the beta release of EclipseUML Studio for Callisto, it is just fantastic and your plugin is full of bugs....I Fully agree with Vlad, you will not remain long in this business.

User: AnonymousRating: 102006-09-12 17:12:42
Nice tool, nice guys in the support team. A good remplacement of eclipseUML, we migrated ours projects and all the diagrams (I was a bit worry, but It worked :) ) At last we can use CVS... By the way, no one there is speaking about MDA, you know MDA is a fun idea but it doesn't really work (yet)...

User: AnonymousRating: 22006-09-11 09:40:07
Where is MDA ? this is only java !!

User: AnonymousRating: 102006-09-11 04:51:33
nice diagram, good features and free :)

User: AnonymousRating: 12006-09-10 16:36:41
a bugy product :(

User: AnonymousRating: 102006-09-10 09:54:26
This plugin runs very well and the team cares about what users are thinking. Omondo should compete fairly by providing a better product (I'm a former customer) rather than posting warning or punishment with low rating ...

User: AnonymousRating: 12006-09-08 16:57:56
Let me say again - It is easy to hide your ip and vote for yourself. Therefore I give you a 1 as a notatiion, again.

User: AnonymousRating: 102006-09-08 14:18:43
Very promising product Support is very efficient, not so usual for a free product !

User: AnonymousRating: 92006-09-08 09:14:27
good product

User: AnonymousRating: 102006-09-07 05:14:30

User: AnonymousRating: 102006-09-06 16:39:46
Great job!

User: AnonymousRating: 102006-09-06 16:12:22
I just switched from omondo to eUML2. not all diagrams are available, but I don't care cause I don't use them I'm very impressed by the user support, all my mails recieved an answers:) look at the forum, you can even discuss features! So I guess they will add other diagrams over the next monthes... Enjoy this free version for callisto !

User: AnonymousRating: 92006-09-06 16:11:00
Congratulation !!

User: AnonymousRating: 92006-09-05 18:07:46

good enough

User: AnonymousRating: 12006-09-02 13:58:07
It is impossible to be used in my project. To many bugs !!

User: AnonymousRating: 92006-08-31 22:04:05
Nice plugin...nice uml diagrams...although sort of looks like eclipseuml...reverse engineering rocks and allowed on shared projects..unlike eclipseuml

User: AnonymousRating: 102006-08-31 08:25:41
Nice plugin, good quality

User: AnonymousRating: 102006-08-31 08:21:28
Hi Anonymous from Croatia, You have no right to vote here since you work for Omondo: "Please do not vote for your own web site or for a competitor's web site."

User: AnonymousRating: 72006-08-29 11:34:37
Hi anonymous, Soyatec site clearly states that he has a legal copyright. So you should let the lawers deal with these copyrigt issues. My company was an omondo customer, but due to numerous bugs and lacks of support eclipseUML has recently been dropped from our developpement platerform. As this guy led eclipseUML project, he'll be able to support customers, so I'm testing this plugin ... My first feeling: it's cool to have full team support in the free edition.

User: AnonymousRating: 12006-08-29 06:11:03
This guy left Omondo and took a full copy of the java source code. It is better to wait till the new free edition omondo built expected in the next few days that using illegal copyright within my company. I doubt this guy will remain long time in this business !!
