If you want your Eclipse to be taken over by lots of corporate branding on top of buggy code that may, at random times hose your entire projects direotory, then this is the plug in to get.
As special bonus feature is the hard-wired hard-sell of their "cloud" hosting and their "pro" version. I am not sure what sort of "pros" use it, unless "pro" is now synonymous with "sucker."

This gets 7 for features and 1 for the spam/adware that comes with it. Some other users have also mentioned that the company is working too hard to push its other products and has built in stuff into the plugin (which there is no easy way to disable).
For example all I want is a Rails IDE. I get something that connects me to an RSS feed and downloads messages even when I am working on Python or C++. WTF? I don't want to be part of any user group. I didn't ask for it. I don't want to be spammed by 'updates' whenever I open eclipse or bring my mac out of sleep.
This is a very obtrusive plugin. It makes too much of itself. Which is a pity, because the plugin itself seems to be OK.

Aptana is just ok as far as PHP development goes. Relies/Pushes too much its Jaxer and Cloud stuff. Will be better when it matures.

I try and it works very very well !! It seems that fake notations have been given to this plugin. I don't know why but this is not an acceptable behavior !! We had the same problem with Omondo in 2006 and because we didn't react immediately our reputation has been badly damaged on this Eclipse Plugin Central website. Keep going the good job.

All of you who lost your workspace/work did not read when installing carefully -- RTFM. You must install on Eclipse Classic... so don't complain when its your own fault. This plug-in is perhaps the best when it comes to XHTML, CSS, Javascript... hands down. I have been using this plug-in since it was in beta and NEVER had any problems, just need to RTFM.

Destroyed ANT within eclipse.
Now, when I run an ANT build I get this error:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no swt-win32-3236 in java.library.path

Extreamly good editor but few things to add here.
Aptana also allows CSS and HTML but errors are not shown in them. Erroneous conditions show up only in JS files.
I found problems in updating Aptana to newer version.
I am sure we need a version supporting Eclipse 3.3 now.
All things aside, I like this product and is very helpful in debugging JS files. Thank you

needs mozilla-gtk2 to work.... but only mozilla_gtk1.2 is available for linux. As such aptana doesn't work in linux and keeps giving "No more handles [Unknown Mozilla path (MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME not set)]" see aptana.com/docs/index.php/Installing_Aptana_Milestone_7_on_Linux.
Note: Mozilla 1.7.13 - Released April 21, 2006 doe NOT contain Gtk2
However, has a very neat (s)ftp facility that when combined with php eclipse makes a neat ide for php. Seems to be the best for php around at the moment.

The most useful javascript plugin. Cross browser, and have some lint functions.

A very usefull plugin, simple and easy to use. It may not have fancy UI design tools but it has a lote of nice tools for code editing. It still has some issues with eclipse 3.2 but all in all a great product. One of its main highlights is the integration with some of the main Ajax libraries.
