I like this editor but currently I can use it only as stand-alone application because a problem with cursor inside the edit popups when used inside Eclipse.
For this reason, my rating is quite low.
The Eclipse's version I'm using is 3.4.x and Violet 0.20 is tested for the versions from 3.0 to 3.3.
I hope Violet's version for more recent Eclipse will be developed.

Simple, lightweight, easy to use editor. Like it just the way it is. In terms of functionality improvements, support data modelling conventions within Class diagram, swimlanes/2-dimension lane support for activity diagrams. Just a few more to comply with UML 2. That said, I still love it for it has offer now! Great work and congratulations!!! :D

Pros: Its free! easy to use, reasonably quick & creates simple diagrams which would take much longer in other commercial software
Cons: A bit buggy (naming an object) & you have to select the item and right click on the page to make it appear. Dragging and dropping doesnt seem to work. Apart from that its near-perfect!

Good tool, but it's seem to bug in my Eclipse (have to write all text "invert").
Anyway, the applet works fine.

Exactly what I needed. A simple UML-Tool to generate simple UML - Diagrams very fast. Of course this tool can not replace a professional UML Tool. But to make something clear or just to make a Diagram to remind yourself later how you dis sometiong this tool is very useful. Waiting for integration for Eclipse 3.4...

This is the most useful UML plugin I have ever used. There is no code generation, etc. but I have designed a really complicated diagram in 5 minutes, compared to possibly 2 hours.

Free, simple and works well.
I've only used this to create a few quick diagrams. So far it has been excellent. I don't think there is any code generation, round-trip or reverse engineering. But, I you just want to create a few diagrams quickly and easily (and for free) this is excellent.

It you have an existing Class, you drag it to the canvas and turns it into a diagram. That is cool for a simple, easy and free program. Even cooler would be if it will it would let me generate the Class skeleton from a new diagram.
