Only check core and resources checkboxes and it will install without any trouble..

Initially gave me error about missing files, but that was because the same modules were checked in several areas. Uncheck the multiple modules, and it installed like a charm and prompted to restart Eclipse. The folks having trouble are pretend developers since they cannot diagnose a simple problem. You folks that rate this below an 8 should switch to Visual Studio (zero downloads, except for the windows update, runtime updates and oh yes, it works on multiple operating systems (NT, XP, Vista, Longhorn, etc). Get a clue folks. Not hard to correct an error! Babies!

Solid plugin, but now the SpringSource offers a complete Eclipse IDE with loads of Spring goodies built in. You can find it on the Spring websites.

Anyone else having issues with installing on eclipse 3.4.2? giving me errors about missing files.

User: AnonymousRating: 22009-04-24 11:36:40
For years I have always used Eclipse and the Spring IDE for all of my Spring development. With the problems I have had with the this latest Spring IDE plugin however, I have had to sort of abandon Eclipse (temporarily anyway) and I am instead using NetBeans (as well as evaluating IntelliJ IDEA) for a project which demands I spend more time coding and less time playing with Eclipse configurations.

Excellent stuff!

Interesting but where to find the files and where to find a bundle into a zip-file. Obviously these imbercilles do not understand that our time is valuable so instead of automized printing on their webpage they should take time to look at Apache.org and learn because these guys have several to learn of how to let visitors get started in short amount of time. And they can forget about that I will buy any support from them, because if they make such a sorry mess of this , why would anything they sell be good ???

Update-Site doesn't work with Eclipse 3.4.1. Too bad. Seems that the Spring Guys are focusing on Commercial Support.

Invaluable plugin for Spring development.

User: AnonymousRating: 92008-02-10 15:38:28
The plugin itself is really great, but it can not be updated in the normal way - manual intervention (deletion of the previous version from plugins/features directories) is needed prior to install of updated version. And even this helps not always - only install on the fresh Eclipse is completely reliable.

No stability problems on Eclipse 3.3.1.1/Windows. Very useful for (i) checking config files, (ii) autocompleting property hookups, (iii) the Spring Bean Graph, a graphical representation of bean dependencies.
