Simply the best plugin. I also don't like fake comments coming from dirty competitors. I will not for this reason never use Soyatec and TopCase. Good luck and don't forget that users are not blind. We can evaluate what is good or bad. EclipseUML 2007 is fantastic !!!

If I create an association which synchronize the java code and create attributes and methods, and then don't save my diagram. It is not possible to have code and model live code synchronization and then refuse to synchronize the model when leaving the Eclipse and expect everything will be fine next time I open EclipseUML !!! It is logical that the diagram be corrupted the next time I open it.
I like to be able to go in the local history and restore my diagram !! GREAT

I just wasted three hours trying to get this tool to work. In less than three hours, I already got the following bugs:
1. After one hour or so, the diagram is no longer updated when a new attribute is added. I have to hide the attribute compartment and show it again to display the new attribute.
2. Assocations are not added by clicking or dragging. I did manage to set up an assocation a few time, but it seems to require some luck for that to work.
3. After an association is not saved. When the diagram is opened again, the plugin says that it does not recommend saving diagram and model information in the same file. I have not changed any setting. The tool apparently is using something it does not recommend. I cannot figure out how to setup relation at all.
From what I saw, I really cannot use this tool.

This plugin is getting more and more mature plugin in the last 12 months. Just the team work free edition limitation is bad. Anyway, I need it for Hibernate 3 modeling, and it is the best because it is the only UML 2.1 modeling tool for hibernate :-)

the plugins is good, the crash reason is that you do NOT use a new and clear workspace. if you do not install the plugin followed by the install note said.you will crash.
btw. the plugin is very good. free is good.

When I had this plugin installed, eclipse would regularly crash. I've uninstalled it, and it doesn't crash anymore. It was a nice plugin, worked well and made my life easier, but I can't tolerate crashes every 20 minutes while using it.

Omondo 2007 Free Edition build is an excellent tool. Thanks for the early access :-)
This plugin is certainly not dead, because over 50 engineers research team in Tunisia, Croatia, France, Germany and now UK (new headquarter office just opened) are now working full time on the project !! This is the largest research team of any independent eclipse plugin vendor.

I need a statechart diagram integrating SOA workflows, a class diagram for business logic. and to be able to use usecase diagram for requirement is great.
I get all these logics united within Omondo 2007 build.
I don't need BPMM, because UML is better and complete. With OMONDO 2007 you can connect presentation, business logic and persisntence with the same project !!
My favorite technologies are: JSF for presentation, EJB3 for business logic and Hibernate 3.3 for persistence.
UML is not dead, it is just changing !!
Targeting the Java SOA IT market is brilliant !!

No, this is not a trap !! The new plugin is available but Omondo refuses to publish it now in order to check bugs.
You should send an email to vlad, varnica@omondo.com ,and explain that you need it now.
If you convince him, then he will give you an early acess.
If not, he will refuse. My company colleague was refused, then I write a long and nice email, and I got it :-)
This man is strange,maybe crazy :-) but he seems to be the worldwide boss for all Omondo's subsidaries !! He is working days and nights, always doing support, sales etc...while is team is codding in Germany, France, Croatia and Tunisia.
I hope he will not commit a suicide, because I would not be able to work so much and I think he is crazy :-)

You are not able to work with any UML diagram if your project is "shared" (e.g. under CVS /SVN source repository control ), so this is a serious show stopper in the free edition; otherwise you will need to purchase the Studio Edition. It a pitty, *a waste of time* to download it, install it, just to find out it *won't work at all* if your project is shared :S.

Vlad explained me that since the new java coding team arrived, the tool is a lot better because the research team is three time bigger than previously.
I tried the latest EclipseUML Studio JEE, it is just amazing .... This strategy seems to be successful. Good job Vlad.

Very convenient layer on top of UML2, I appreciate the automatic cade generation feature and the pretty diagram display a lot. Thanks a lot. It\'s a pity the \"Studio\" version is so expensive, I can afford 500 $ for a serious development tool like that, but 2000 EUR is too expensive for me.

When adding the comments that it needed to support the UML diagram, it moved methods that were being commented inside of other methods resulting in a whole bunch of compiler errors. Thank god for source control.
