XecliP is a Plug-in for Eclipse that supports distributed pair programming. With this plug-in two developers are able to work together on the same Java project (eg. via internet or within a local network). The joined project must be stored by the Concurrent Versions System (CVS).
XecliP consists of a client plug-in part and a server component. The server can be used local or can run on an independent computer system.
Features are:
- corporate Java editor (for at least 2 developers and visitors)
- session control with project data synchronisation and session wizard
- switch role of the leading person in a session
- awareness of available users with including user profiles and running pair programming sessions on the server
- chat communication within a pair programming session

Well done! After the installation of the server, it worked fine. Never seen a better tool.
