With the ACUCOBOL-GT Eclipse Plug-in, software developers can take advantage of the independent and royalty-free Eclipse integrated development environment (IDE) while maintaining and enhancing their organization�s business-critical COBOL applications on Windows, UNIX and Linux. The Acucorp Plug-in makes it possible to create an ACUCOBOL-GT perspective from within Eclipse. Then, using this perspective, developers and software testers can access Acucorp�s ACUCOBOL-GT development system-which includes a compiler, the COBOL Virtual Machine (runtime), the Vision file system, and a source-level interactive debugger. This enables developers to modernize their COBOL business systems, written in ACUCOBOL-GT, while accessing the rich variety of plug-ins offered by contributors to the Eclipse Foundation.
