Eclipse plug-in extending all repositories in eclipse, which supports the new filehistory-API (Eclipse 3.2). At the moment only CVS does. With this plug-in the user can explore the history of one file in an author centric way. The committed code of each author is shown in the color of the author in an visualization over all revisions in an line based way (like seesoft).
The plug-in uses the registered editors in eclipse for showing the details on demand and should work with all supported file types.
The history network of the underlying annotations can be shown and the (history) data of a selcted annotation is shown in the properties view.
There was a demand for a tool at education for the exploration of the activities of students at collaborative work on software. This tool should provide the needed features in eclipse with an history flow visualisation. It should be possible to recognize different types of activities of the authors. The tool could be usefull for professionals, too. Added on: 20-Dec-2006 | Updated: 22-Apr-2007
