CodeSkin for TI C2000 DSPs is a free alternative to Code Composer Studio (CCS), turning Eclipse into an IDE for DSP code development. The plugin provides an error parser for the C2000 code generation tools as well as a flash programmer. Since CodeSkin is communicating with the target over RS-232 no JTAG emulator is required.
The following Digital Signal Controllers of the C2000 fixed-point family are currently supported: TMS320LF2406A, TMS320LF2407A, TMS320F2808, TMS320F2810, TMS320F2811, TMS320F2812 and TMS320F28335.
It is also planned that future releases will provide real-time variable viewing and variable editing features, further facilitating software design and trouble-shooting.
Please note that a valid license of CCS is required for code development, since the C2000 code generation tools are only made available as part of CCS.
