Build Rich Internet Applications visually using the ULC Visual Editor for Eclipse. ULC Visual Editor is a drag-and-drop user interface designer for UltraLightClient (http://www.canoo.com/ulc/) and Eclipse 3.1.
UltraLightClient is a library to build J2EE compliant Rich Internet Applications (RIA) in Java. ULC handles the split between client and server, rendering the UI with a Swing-based presentation engine at runtime. Attach event listeners to the server-side peer components, thereby creating a scalable client/server application as easily as a stand-alone Swing application.
The ULC Editor is based on the Eclipse Visual Editor framework and supports the same functions as the corresponding editor for Swing. The editor supports most ULC widgets, layouts, direct editing of text and title properties, and events on ULC widgets. Use the new visual class wizard to easily create reusable ULC user interface components and application - an added benefit for rapid prototyping and large-scale GUI design.
