We are pleased to announce the release of MagicDraw® UML 11.6. This new version enhances No Magic's award-winning UML-based and business process architecture tool.
MagicDraw release 11.6 adds major functionality and along with some bug fixes. This release mainly adds additional support for EMF import and continued enhancements of our EMF export, Eclipse integration, and cleanup of XMI extensions that are no longer required.
What's new in MagicDraw 11.6
Import of EMF based UML 2 XMI to MagicDraw. It allows interchange of UML 2 models with other UML modelling tools. This feature is available in Standard, Professional, and Enterprise Editions.
XMI of Profiling improvements. Applied stereotypes and profile definitions are saved in standard UML XMI format. This allows you to exchange applied stereotypes and profile definition with other UML XMI compliant tools. This removes extensions that were required because the original OMG specification had bugs we needed to work around.
Updated EMF and EPS libraries improve the quality of the exported diagram pictures. You can use the crisp and scalable pictures of the diagrams in your documents and presentations.
All standard Primitive Types are now supported. New primitive types Boolean and UnlimitedNatural were added. The XMI output was modified for referencing these Primitive Types.
Additionally, the new MagicDraw version adds many fixes for the following customer reported bugs in the following areas:
Eclipse integration;
C++;
Save/Load;
Open API;
Diagramming;
Copy/Paste;
Export to EMF based UML 2 XMI;
Floating server.
