I have installed the free version on my Eclipse Galileo (Ubuntu 9.04) - it is working very well.

Wasted half of the day with the free version...

Two things are bad, and i agree: it's a half baked product !
First, it can not be installed in Eclipse, because the download
packet is missing the p2 (and may be, does not match other
dependencies, too !).
Second, the feature list shows me that the free edition, compared to
the studio edition, has only few features that are not very useful.
So i miss, sequence diagram, codegeneration in several languages and
XMI support (and so on...), that other free uml2 plugins provide !
After trying half an hour i give up and think: eUML2 in the moment
(i hope this changes in future !) is a waste of time...
and i like Eclipse UML2 much more than eUML2 because it works well !

Half baked product. Wasted my time installing it and trying to figure out why can't I create a sequence diagram. Potentially can be a great tool if it is more polished like what a professional tool should be.

Wasted half a day with the free version and half an hour with the evaluation studio version. Nice reverse engineered class diagrams, but no way to show (export/print) them to someone granting money.

The live code and model synchronization doesn't work well !! It changes my code and doesn't always update the diagram. It seems that this plugin has done the first 20% of the job but that the other 80% to make it usable has never been done. It is a waste of time for me to use this tool today.

There is a lot of bugs that doesn't seems that will be addressed soon, because there is no activity in the product forum, only people complaining and being ignored. It uses some kind of annotations in the comments to keep models in synch. Exporting images just don't do anything. Don't waste your time if you need something useful.... which is sad, because it would be a perfect FREE UML tool with some interesting licensing/support options (like paid bug support for free version), functionality and also affordable.

The sequence diagram editor in Ganymed is a pain. It does not correctly refresh its display, sometimes does not even accept input. The class editor seems to work though. However, some changes, when done in the source (not the diagram) will confuse the plugin so much that CPU usage goes up to 100% for a long time (I eventually closed eclipse and killed the remaining task). In my case this happened when changing an interface to a class.

Excellent plugin, easy to use, great code generation, great presentation. The update site presented didn't work for Ganymede, but I quickly realized I needed to use add /ganymede, and that worked great!

Doesn't work for me. Tried online and offline installation with Eclipse V3.4.1. Neither worked :-(
