The WebOfPattern client is an Eclipse plugin that provides the following functionality:
- Design patterns can be downloaded from standard web servers. Note: This may require to configure the proxy server in the plugin preferences.
- The plugin has a local copy of the default pattern repository on board.
- The plugin includes a pattern scanner that x-rays java projects for design pattern instances. Note: the projects analysed should have the standard project layout (e.g., sources in a src folder, compiled classes in the bin folder).
- The plugin has a pattern browser that can be used to browse (online) pattern repositories.
- A pattern extraction and publication wizard can be used to extract patterns from java projects, and to generate pattern descriptions to be published on standard http servers.
- The WebOfPatterns is based on semantic web standards such as OWL, RDF and DublinCore. Added on: 01-May-2006
