Since EclipseCon 2005 we have been gathering feedback on our JavaScript compiler from the early access community. Based on this feedback, we added:

Introducing JS-Sorcerer 2006, a set of tools that increases the productivity of JavaScript developers. It includes a powerful analysis tool that helps developers quickly locate and fix problems in their code. JS-Sorcerer detects and reports errors at compile time, eliminating the need to invoke a browser simply to catch syntax and typographical errors. Its cross-browser code generator translates standard JavaScript programs into JavaScript programs that will run on all popular browsers. Developers can write cross-browser code by making use of a standard, unified interface to ECMAScript, W3C DOM, and the XMLHttpRequest (AJAX) object. This eliminates the need to write disparate, browser-specific objects and shortens the development cycle.
