Photran is a Fortran IDE for Eclipse. It includes: - A Fortran 95 parser. - A keyword-highlighting Fortran editor. - Outline view. - CVS support. - Debugging via a GUI interface to gdb. - Makefile-based compilation (compiler independence). - Manged make support. - Error extraction for several popular Fortran compilers.

I have been using Photran for a while now (~6 months) and I would say that this is a very descent application. I think that the developement team is rather small and the project is farly new, but even since I have started using it, I have noticed several improvements. There are a few features that have not yet been implamented, but right now it is very solid. It can be a bit buggy at times, but I am sure that they will all get worked out over time.

The plugin is great. I was stuck using emacs before and I wanted tabbed editting. It\'d be nice if the editor would automatically place line numbers and indentations (only thing I miss from emacs!). Documentation is also lacking, so I\'ve been figuring this out by trial and error.
