SubText discovers and shows documentation dynamically using a language similar to AspectJ's pointcuts, enabling designers and developers to present relevant documentation where its actively needed during development.
The 'Pointcut Expression' is a logical function of type patterns that defines which classes and interfaces a SubText applies to. Patterns can include character, package and subtype wildcards. The pattern syntax is a simplified form of AspectJ's pointcut syntax.
The documentation can be put anywhere in a project, but must have a .subtext extension. Each subtext file consists of a pointcut expression followed by text which can be HTML. Added on: 03-Mar-2004 | Updated: 31-Aug-2004
