Visual Swing Designer for Eclipse is a GUI designer tool, which consists of a set of Eclipse Plug-ins. It aims to provide a swing visual designer for Eclipse for Java desktop developers.

I found minor bugs in the code gen anytime I change the default given bean name property, easy to fix, but annoying. Whatever the GUI does not support you can add to the code yourself, though I have not tested how well that round trips in GUI designer view. Personally, I would likely continue to use this tool for quick proto-type screen design. It is not as as polished, powerful, or accurate as a commercial gui builder tools, but it's decent for a free tool for home, student, or small org use. If doing a considerable amount of professional Java Desktop design/coding, then get a professional tool, I don't think you'll get the efficiency you want out of this one.

The given install link doesn't work, and downloading the .jar file set doesn't add anything to eclipse.
The Forums are all SPAM postings.
It is possible to download the entire set of source projects from visualswing4eclipse.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/share/ , but that doesn't really help unless you want to spend a lot of time figuring it out.

No instructions for installing raw jars.
Attempted just dropping the jars in the eclipse plugin dir - no effect.
No docs on getting started or accessing the tool.
In short - a product is as good as its docs. In this case there are none.
