The EzSNMP UDP Agent Desktop is a standalone SNMP agent application based on the Eclipse Rich Client Platform and the SNMP4J Object Oriented Agent software. It is a rapid prototyping tool for the development of new SNMP enabled devices written entirely in the Java programming language and fully integrated into the Eclipse development environment.
The EzSNMP UDP Agent receives CSV format driver messages and exposes them via the SNMP ifTable and related tables. The EzSNMP Agent supports dynamic registration and de-registration of channels and can generate standard defined traps including coldStart and warmStat plus the Link Up/Down traps based on driver messages. In addition the EzSNMP agent supports a number of well defined traps in the 'experimental' name space that can be used to propagate driver event data to a remote manager.
