Citylyzer is an open-source 3D software visualization plug- in for the Eclipse framework, it provides a visualization of a given Java Project like a city

Note: it doesn't work for Intel Based MacOSX

Metrics mapping:

  • A class is mapped to a building
  • Building height corresponds to the number of methods
  • Building width/length corresponds to the number of attributes
  • Packages (and its hierarchy) are represented as districts and sub-districts

Version 0.9.0 provides:

Next versions will add new features:

  • Availability for MacOSX Intel Based
  • Selection of buildings
  • Map more metrics
  • Choosing coloring schema

The plug-in is still a beta, and it also has limited functionalities, but they will grow soon. Feel free to contact me f or any reason (information, bugs, requests, ..)

I can't make it run with eclipse 3.4 No user documentation

It's not possible to know, given the visualization, which building corresponds to which class. This makes the plug-in useless, knowing what is visualized is the whole point of visualization! I hope you'll fix that, soon :) BTW: this is the second plug-in that uses X-Ray's model, nice, it's spreading. I'm using it too, somehow.. haha :)
