Q is an Apache Maven plugin for Eclipse that will let you use Maven 2 from the Eclipse IDE This plugin better integrates the development and building processes by bringing Maven into the Integrated Development Environment (IDE). As a bonus, you also get support for Web development with WTP and the ability to analyze complex dependencies on your builds.

I started working with this plugin after I was unable to get the spring framework to compile with M2Eclipse. Q4E definitely has some nice features. It has a great POM editor and a much deeper understanding of maven builds M2Eclipse, but you definitely feel the lack of eclipse project configuration. For example Q4E will not hide the target folder, register resources as eclipse source folders, or display the parent project for a multi-module project. All in all I think it's a good plugin, but what I really want is a hybrid between it and M2Eclipse.

This is useless. Doesn't offer much in terms of flexibility. Can not use your own Maven version.

It does not work with My maven projects

Ok, I guess, not as integrated with Eclipse as m2eclipse, but a good effort.

Great plugin. Gets better every month. Development without it would be a real chore.

Seriously? I suspect the devs to rate their own plugin because this one is simply not usable at this stage. Support for multi modules projects is retarded. Running goals is inflexible. Complex projects simply fail. Multitude of bugs which prvent using it. Good to see a plugin for maven but try harder.

An honest maven 2 plugin for eclipse, aimed at eclipse developers, with a healthy, supportive, and active community too.
