X-Assist is a set of plugins for running + debugging XSL transformations from within Eclipse. You can set up XSL pipelines, and choose from built-in XSL processors (Xalan, Saxon or the JRE default), but you can also add your own (directly or via adding a new plugin). Also includes and XML perspective, XPath view, and XSL code templates.

Awesome. Does just what you would expect a XSLT plug-in for Eclipse should do. Stable, thoughtful, intuitive implementation. A very promising seed project for the Eclipse XML-XSLT tools. Any Eclipse user considering shelling out for Spy owes it to themselves to kick the tires on this one. THANKS guys! BTW here's a doc x-assist.sourceforge.net

I had to transform xml files to pdf files using 3 packages Saxon -> Tidy -> FOP or Xalan-> Tidy -> FOP But I got many errors for both Saxon & Xalan... Thanks to this awesome plugin, I was able to chose the best one according to my needs! THANK YOU X-ASSIST!!!!!

I installed this plugin on top of the Eclipse JEE Europa version, and it worked just fine. Running a transform is just as easy as running a Java program. Needs some documentation though.

I can't find any documentation for this plugin, not on the sourceforge website, or in the download, or once its installed. I've installed it, got it to create a new xsl file, but can't figure out how to apply the xsl transformation against an xml file! Restarted eclipse, and got a NullPointer exception and an error saying it couldn't recreate the x-assist xpath view. This looks like a work-in-progress plugin..
