The new Emerging Technologies Toolkit (ETTK) includes Generic Manageability Library, Semantic Web Services, DNS-EndPoint Discovery, WS-Agreement, WSDL Port Aggregator tool, and Web Services Navigator. Version 2.2 of the ETTK -- a software toolkit for designing, developing, and executing emerging autonomic and Web service technologies also includes Cloudscape 10.0(see new developer articles o­n Cloudscape), an open standards small footprint database that tightly embeds into Java applications and requires zero administration.

Network and Identity Configurator for Linux is a tool that enables easy changing of the system name and network address of Linux systems. Using the NICL script allows a system administrator to activate a new system in under 30 minutes. Without it, o­ne could easily take several days (or weeks)
