Hi. To add a subreport parameter use the context menu of the subreport element (right click on the subreport element in the editor or outline view). There you have an "Add Parameter" action.
Best regards,

How could i make, that it continues from the top of page 2?

Hi JasperAssistant Team,
I've got a problem. My report has got 2 pages and I'd like to place on the bottom of last page a text. I tried to use the summary band, but it wasn't on the bottom, but after the report directly. Afterwards I tried to use the page footer band, it was on the bottom of the page rightly, but not only on the last page, but on every. In my opinion I should use the "Print When Expression" property
(print when last page - new Boolean(((Integer)$V{PAGE_NUMBER}).intValue() == LastPage))
but I don't know, How should I write the LastPage variable into the Expression Editor!
Please help me with this problem!
Thank you! |

It is a JasperReports specific question. A quick search on the JasperReports support forums reveals the following solution:
http://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=2353935
It is somewhat tricky, but this is how JasperReports works.
Generally we recommend that you use the JasperReports forums for JasperReports specific questions. There are a lot of already asked and answered questions as well as an active community willing to offer a solution for your problems.
Best regards,

| I have been using JasperAssistante with Eclipse 2.1.2, and I am trying to evaluate it with version 3M8. I have downloaded the plugin for that version, as well as the GEF plugin, also for the M8 version. However, when I try to open one of my previously created reports, I get the following error message: "Unable to create part: report01.xml", followed by aother error message:"An error has ocurred when activating this view". What can this be? |

Hi, please check the workspace log file for possible errors. The log file is located in <ECLIPSE_HOME>/workspace/.metadata/.log file. As soon as you get the error check this file for possible exception stacktraces. If you are unable to solve the problem, please send us your log file so we can determine what the problem might be.
Best regards,

| It seems that the Eclipse 3M8 does not create the workspace directory so I cant find the .log file. |
