It would be really cool if I could find/make a plug-in that: when opening a local CVS file you get prompted with the question"Do you want to update this file first?"
Anyone got any suggestions on how to make this happen? I have got no idea on how to ask this after dubbelclicking on a file, but before actually letting it open... |

Nobody any suggestion? We've been looking for it the past days but without any result...
Or perhaps we can add a standard CVS update when opening a file, but how can we start fixing that? All help welcome!
Kind Regards,

| Did you try changing the team - watch/edit settings to always prompt? I know it's not quite the same but it might cover your needs. |

wow, this certainly is a required plugin.
Anyways how do we let Eclipse CVS let us know who is currently editing it and what should every body do to let the server know if they are modifying any particular file??? Actually I still don't understand what you meant by your Watch/Edit setting to always prompt... |
