When the dbexplorer feature is installed the ctrl+space feature of eclipse doesn't work anymore - what to do

I had the same problem, you'll need to go into Window > Preferences dialog and navigate in the tree to Workbench > Keys.

Change the category and name to "Edit" and "Content Assist" respectively.
Select the Assignments "In Dialogs and Windows"

Once you've selected all that, click on the Key Sequence "SQL Content Assist" and click remove.

this should fix the problem.
