I have been using WAST for a while now in Eclipse to start/stop/debug web application running on Tomcat 4.1.x. Now Tomcat 5.x features are looking nicer and nicer everyday which this plug-in doesn't support yet. Also, ever since Eclipse 3.0 M9, this plug-in has been broken because a lot of internal APIs that eclipse folks were going to deprecate were finally deprecated. Long story short, I tried to contact the email address given on the http://membres.lycos.fr/wast site and have gotten no answer in two weeks. I want to move the project over to sourceforge and start contributing to make it compatible with Tomcat 5.x and with Eclipse 3.0.
Does anybody have any suggestions on how I should proceed. I definitely don't want to piss off the original creator of this project but since, the project seems to be abandoned (hasn't been updated since September 2003) and nobody answers the email - I don't know what other choices I have if I want to continue the project.

you may want to evaluate the lomboz project ( www.objectlearn.com ) since that is in a more advanced stage than this one.

Download WAST from http://membres.lycos.fr/wast
MyEclpse is not free and my company probably won't buy me a copy of that plug-in.
